A wine assemblage is science and art at the same time, the mastery of which requires a lot of experience and sensitivity.
Once again, the winemaker has succeeded in creating a masterpiece of five noble grape varieties.
Strong ruby red, full-bodied, with a wonderful harmony of sweet aromas of overripe black fruits, beautifully complemented with spicy oak notes and fine vanilla and tar. The taste is intense and racy, with a nice purity and again a lot of fruit. Excellent balanced, so that a long reverberation with beautiful complexity is created. Despite the abundance of grape varieties and the young age, the wine looks clearly defined and polished, with strong but wonderfully velvety tannins and a nicely integrated acidity. A
lush, opulent wine, with a lot of personality and great aging potential.

92 points by Jamie Goode

For this special wine, the five grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon (45%), the autochthonous Rara Neagra (17%), Shiraz (15%), Malbec (15%) and Carmenere (8%) were harvested individually at optimum maturity and refined separately for at least 28 months in oak barrels.
This wine is unique because the winemaker comes up with a new composition of grape varieties for each vintage of this special cuvée series. Thus, no red wine resembles the other. Once again, Constantin has succeeded in creating a masterpiece.
Strong ruby red, full-bodied, with a wonderful harmony between sweet aromas of overripe black fruits, beautifully complemented with spicy oak notes and fine vanilla and tar. The taste is tense, intense, with a beautiful purity and again a lot of fruit. The taste is delicate and racy, but excellently balanced, so that a long finish with beautiful complexity is created.
Compared to its predecessor, the 2018 has more grip and body (the Merlot has been replaced by Cabernet Sauvignon). Despite the diverse grape varieties and the young age, the wine is clearly defined and polished, with strong but wonderfully velvety tannins and a beautifully integrated acidity. A lush, opulent wine with a lot of personality and an ageing potential of at least 15 years.

Equinox completed organic certification last year, making it the first Moldovan winery to have the European organic label. Five noble grape varieties - Cabernet Sauvignon, Rara Neagra, Shiraz, Malbec and Carmenere - form the basis for the fruity strong red wine. The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand, from the end of September to mid-October, in their own vineyards near the village of Olanesti, IGP Stefan-Voda. Constantin relies on spontaneous fermentation for vinification. All types of wine are aged separately for 28 months in wood: 25% in new Romanian oak barriques and 75% in French oak barrels and in used American and French oak barrels. The wines are married one month before bottling. The wine was not fined and the only filtration cycle took place during bottling.

An excellent accompaniment to strong and complex meat dishes, such as a juicy steak or saddle of venison. Also harmonizes ideally with spicy appetizers, ham, pate or matured hard cheese. This wine is still young, yet wonderful and excellent. The winemaker recommends carafing the wine directly in the glass.
