The counterpart to Sauvignon Blanc from Moldova!
In the glass, the debutant appears in a bright straw yellow with delicate green reflections. In the nose seductive aromas of white flowers, limes, gooseberries and ripe green apples with fine shades of green peppers and herbs. The taste is soft and balanced, with a lively acidity structure that gives the wine the maximum freshness.
Alb de Onitcani – a new debutant from Moldova, a cross created in the 70s by pollinating several grape varieties. While the grapes were mainly intended for the production of wine distillates in the 80s, the grape variety was almost forgotten in the course of the disintegration of state farms in the 90s. Years later, more and more winemakers are reflecting on the advantages of the grape variety for high-quality dry white wines. Novak was among the first to plant the first small plots with the special grape variety, which is compared to Sauvignon Blanc, as Alb de Onitcani also produces wines with straw yellow color, lively acidity and complex aromas. In 2016, Novak's first Alb de Onitcati was bottled and made a brilliant debut on the international stage - gold medal at Mundus Vini in Germany!
The previous vintage 2019 has continued the success story with a gold award at Asia Wine Trophy 2020 in South Korea. In the glass, the wine shows itself in a bright straw yellow with delicate green reflections. Complex aroma of white flowers, limes, gooseberries and ripe green apples with fine shades of green peppers and herbs. The taste is soft and balanced, with a lively acidity structure that gives the wine the maximum freshness.
