Barbale Chinuri Amber 2022 White

Barbale Chinuri is produced in limited quantities from 100% Chinuri grapes grown in the Shida Kartli area, around the medieval city of Athens. The grapes are fermented for one month in traditional Qvevri terracotta pots, with their skins and stalks and six months in oak barrel.

The resulting wine shows a light golden color and a nose with delicious fruity notes of peach and melon followed by aromas of herbs and candied orange peels. On the palate, it is balanced and mineral with a somewhat earthy mouth that comes from the clay pot method. The tannins are extremely delicate and the acidity is light and perfectly integrated. The overall feeling is pleasant and refined. The wine is perfect with poultry and fish.
