Fautor Sauvignon Blanc Fumé 2017 White

A graceful wine that has been aged in oak barrels for 6 months. It has a slightly translucent straw yellow color, an expressive bouquet of melon, elderflower, passion fruit and a hint of vanilla in flavor and taste. Persistent, complex and with a rich structure, this wine is a real reflection of elegance and nobility in the bottle.

With Sauvignon Blanc Fumé, Fautor has made the leap into the top international league - the 2016 vintage received 90 Parker points - making it one of the best wines in the world. Of course, this vintage is long out of print, but the younger brother could easily repeat the success. In the glass, the Fumé by Fautor presents itself light yellow with delicate green reflections and an incomparably multifaceted aroma of green melon, passion fruit, green pear, lemon, lime, white nectarine, peach, apricot, pineapple, white apple, elderflower and acacia blossom and also delicate daisies. On the palate, the rich fruit is enveloped by smoky nuances reminiscent of fresh oak wood and roasted nuts. The fruity opulence and the delicate creaminess are perfectly balanced by a fresh acidity. An impressive wine from Moldova with structure and smooth long finish, balanced at a very high level.
